Home Innovation is Soliciting Members for Its Certification Impartiality & Oversight Committee
Certification Impartiality & Oversight Committee Member Application
As part of our A2LA accreditation, Home Innovation is required to convene the Certification Impartiality & Oversight Committee as a mechanism for safeguarding its impartiality. The Certification Impartiality and Oversight Committee is to provide oversight and a mechanism to ensure impartiality to the ISO 17065 product certification programs of Home Innovation Research Labs.
The Committee members are required to have no financial or commercial or other conflict of interest in the products being certified.
The committee consists of at least four (4) members:
- Two (2) being builder members of the Home Innovation board and
- Two (2) members representing non-builder significantly interested parties including but not limited to:
- product manufacturers;
- building code officials;
- consulting engineers; and/or
- appropriate staff of membership organizations representing those parties.
The President of Home Innovation shall be an ex officio, non-voting member of the committee.
The Committee will hold two meetings coinciding with Home Innovation’s Board of Directors meetings.
- At the first meeting (Aug 2023)
- At the second meeting (Jan 2024)
Home Innovation to reimburse committee members for travel, lodging and their time.
