Deanna Seale, PE – Director, Laboratory Services
Deanna, a licensed professional engineer, oversees all of Home Innovation’s Laboratory Services with nearly two decades of experience in structural and civil engineering. Her extensive background encompasses the design, testing, construction, and forensics of various structures, including buildings and bridges. Leading a team of engineers and technicians, Deanna oversees a diverse range of laboratory testing on construction materials and assemblies including thermal insulation, plumbing fixtures, cold-formed steel, cladding, fasteners, and structural wood panels. As a recognized leader in the field of product testing, standards compliance, and certification, Deanna holds key roles in numerous organizations and committees responsible for setting structural engineering compliance standards. She serves as a voting member on the ASTM International E05 Committee on Fire Standard, Principal of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Fire Tests Committee, and UL Standards Technical Committees STP/TC UL1479, TC S100A, STP/TC 0236, STP/TC UL1040.
As Lab Director, Deanna is responsible for the organization, conduct and supervision of Home Innovation’s Laboratory Testing and Certification Services, which provides independent third-party testing, inspection, and certification services to the construction industry. She ensures compliance with all applicable test methods and requirements specified by ISO 17065, ISO 17025 and ISO 17020 standards.
Joseph Alascio, PE – Test Engineer
Joe, a licensed professional engineer specializing in Fire Protection Engineering, brings extensive experience in independent product testing within an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory setting. Serving as a Laboratory Test Engineer at Home Innovation, Joe conducts fire testing for various materials and assemblies. He studied at the University of Maryland, graduating Magna Cum Laude with bachelor's and master’s degrees in Fire Protection Engineering. Additionally, he coauthored research published in Fire Safety Journal.
Joseph Milton – Senior Test Engineer
Joe brings over two decades of laboratory experience to his role, with a focus on product development, assembly and testing. As the Senior Test Engineer, he collaborates closely with the test engineers and technicians to ensure the effective and efficient execution of fire testing for client materials and assemblies. Additionally, Joe serves as the Quality Manager, drawing on his 15 years of experience in conducting quality checks on products and reviewing quality management systems as a certified auditor. He holds bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and physics from the University of Oklahoma.
