NGBS Green+ certification provides a streamlined, supplementary, third-party recognition for NGBS Green Certified homes based on their exceptional performance in one (or more) of six categories of green practices, including RESILIENCE. Resilient buildings are intentionally designed to stand up to natural and manmade disturbances and to maintain or regain functionality after such events. This certification is important for building homes that will last and are adapted to different climate zones and natural disaster risk areas.

The NGBS Green+ RESILIENCE certification is one of several green building labels recognized by HUD’s Green Resilient Retrofit Program (GRRP).
