Kristyn Mott is a Program Manager & sales team member at Southern Energy Management (SEM), a solar installation, green building and energy efficiency service company based in Raleigh, North Carolina. She joined the SEM team in 2020 after earning dual degrees in Business Administration and Global & Local Sustainability from Daemen University in Western New York. Along with being a NGBS Green PRO, Kristyn also holds two other professional accreditations, Fitwel Ambassador and LEED AP for Operations + Maintenance.
At SEM, Kristyn is on the Multifamily & Commercial Energy Services team. She meets with both potential and existing clients to discuss their project's goals, challenges, and sustainability needs. Additionally, she manages a portfolio of Fitwel & LEED projects and works to ensure that the project’s goals are meet and are successfully certified.
Kristyn became a Green PRO in June of 2022 after learning about the designation in the monthly Home Innovation newsletter, Insider Update. She saw value in earning the designation since many of her clients pursue NGBS Green certification. The Green PRO training provided Kristyn with a strong understanding of the NGBS Green program and general building science practices.

NGBS Green PRO is a professional designation that validates expertise in green design, construction, and building certification. Successful completion of the NGBS Green PRO training showcases your expertise of sustainable buildings and designates you as a green professional. Individuals who have successfully earned the designation have an advanced understanding of the ICC 700 National Green Building Standard® and the NGBS Green certification program. To earn the designation and become an NGBS Green PRO, an individual must complete four training modules and pass a test for each.
